Bradford-based Marble 4 Life used MAS for expert advice and assistance in purchasing an automated machine to mill recessed drainers into the worktops to drain liquids.

Middleton Engineering Ltd
Since 1975, Middleton Engineering Ltd have been involved with designing, manufacturing and servicing waste processing machinery for organisations who want to deal with the waste that they produce. Today, Middleton Engineering supply a range of hydraulic bailers made by Presona AB but through their own experience found a gap in the market. Middleton Engineering wanted to fill this gap and went about making their own baler, using some of Presona's design features and name under license, so they could compliment the range that they currently supply.
Chough Bakery
The Chough Bakery, in the heart of Padstow, North Cornwall, has experienced considerable growth in business during the past few years. Owners Rob and Elaine Ead have developed considerable market share within the food and drink sector of the county. Because of growing demand, the decision was made to move the production side of the business to a purpose built industrial unit on the outskirts of town.
Griffin Nuu Med
Family business started approximately 15 years ago manufacturing fabric equestrian products, 80% of which are numnahs, the woollen undercoat that is placed underneath a horse's saddle. An initial diagnostic was carried out to identify the constraints within the business. Potential suppliers of computer controlled fabric cutting machines were identified, and following trials assistance was provided with selection, negotiations and acceptance criteria.

Arc Energy Resources Ltd is a specialist welding engineering company, serving the oil and gas, petrochemical, water and waste treatment and defence industries. With turnover growing from £2.2m to £3.8m over the last two years, Arc Energy set a new target of reaching £5.5m by the end of the year.
Framptons Ltd
Framptons is a family business, established in 1898 when George Frampton set up an egg production and packing operation in Street, Somerset. The business grew organically over the next century and by 2001 the business employed about 150 people and specialised in processing and packaging liquid egg products. By 2005, customer demand was outstripping available capacity and the company decided to invest in four new automated production lines, with an associated investment of over £1million.
Pitney Fabrications
Pitney fabrications is a family business specialising in the design, manufacture and erection of bespoke steel framed buildings and architectural steelwork. In order to remain competitive in today's global market Pitney fabrication is to introduce the capability of Computer Aided Steel detailing, within its core business activities. SWMAS provided project management support for implementing the new system.
RH Fibreboard Containers Ltd
RH Fireboard Containers Ltd, is a family business specialising in the design and manufacture of corrugated cardboard packaging. The business experienced significant growth during 2006 and identified the need to invest in new machinery to provide additional capacity for further expansion.
Jo Bird and Co
Jo Bird is recognised internationally as one of the worlds leading designers and manufacturers of storage cabinets for firefighting, fire safety, lifesaving and emergency equipment for use in physically demanding locations from offshore and marine applications to onshore industrial uses. The company identified the need to design and develop a new lifebuoy housing to compliment its existing range of emergency lifesaving equipment. SWMAS was able to assist with the project management and design of the new product called the SOS400.
